
Each cottage has comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchens and good bathrooms. You will need to bring the following items:
* Sleeping bag and pillow case
* Tramping boots or comfortable sturdy footwear
* Adequate clothing for changeable weather conditions
* Camera
* Cash for purchase of food and beverages
* Towel and toiletries
* Sunscreen and swimwear
* Day pack and drink bottle
* Sense of humour
Luggage Restrictions
Most people opt for their packs to be transported from house to house, therefore it is important that you do not exceed one piece of luggage per person and one chilly bin between 2-3 people. No item can exceed 15kg and we will not accept plastic bags, hadbags and loose items - these must all be included in your main bag. Please be considerate when packing and adhere to these restrictions as we have to carry your luggage some distance at times. We reserve the right to refuse to carry excess luggage.
Food available for purchase
You will need to bring food for your first 2 nights and days one and two, however Cape Campbell lighthouse and Freeth Estate, on nights three and four have pantries and fridges containing a supply of quality NZ meat, produce and dry goods available for purchase to create your own culinary delights. Beverages are also available for purchase including soft drinks, water, Marlborough wine and beer.
Please bring cash and expect to pay small town convenience store prices.
Note:
A reasonable level of fitness is required. Excellent fitness is required for the 2 day walk.
Trampers undertake the track at their own risk.
Not suitable for children under eight years.
No dogs permitted on the track.
